From April 24 to 27, 2025, the Traditional Building Cultures Foundation took part in the 44th Forum of Cultural Associations and Managers, organized by Hispania Nostra under the theme “Living Heritage, Active Heritage”, and held in the city of Tarragona.
The Foundation was invited to participate in the panel discussion “Good Practices in Promoting Cultural Heritage”, where it shared its experience in the activation and transmission of traditional built heritage. Through the presentation of several initiatives organized by the Foundation, the discussion highlighted the importance of traditional crafts, hands-on learning, and the engagement of local communities as essential elements for the active and sustainable preservation of built heritage.

The forum provided a valuable space for exchange among professionals, researchers, and institutions committed to the conservation and revitalization of heritage. The discussion and presentation sessions were complemented by technical visits to emblematic sites in the province of Tarragona, such as the Carthusian Monastery of Escaladei, the village of Siurana, and the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Poblet, where participants had the opportunity to reflect on the challenges and opportunities of heritage management in real-world contexts.
The Foundation thanks Hispania Nostra for the invitation and welcomes the opportunity to strengthen connections and share knowledge around heritage and the building crafts that make its preservation possible.
