These grants have been announced in the framework of the Richard H. Driehaus Building Arts Awards and are aimed at training two apprentices for a period of four months each:
- Grant for training with master shingle-maker Javier Goicoa.
- Grant for training with master carpenter Vicente Casero
General information
The two grant recipients will receive financial support for a period of four months (or its equivalent if the training is carried out in intermittent periods), starting from the beginning of the tutoring and learning process and setting the start date by mutual agreement with the master. The financial support will amount to a total of 4,000 €, the total or partial receipt of which will always be subject to the fulfillment of the training objectives set at the beginning of the training.
In addition, the master will also receive economic support, both for the development of this teaching work and to assume various expenses that
may arise from it.
Both the master and the apprentice will report periodically, as previously agreed with the organizers of these grants, on the work carried out and the evolution of the learning process. Both must also comply with the working conditions and schedules previously established.
Representatives of the entity that organizes these grants will select the most suitable candidate for each of them from among those who apply. By submitting his/her application, the candidate accepts that the judgment on the documentation submitted corresponds solely to the scholarship organizers and assumes that the decisions regarding the selection made are final and cannot be appealed, waiving any claim he/she may have about those decisions.
