The Traditional Building Cultures Foundation participates in the Earthna Summit 2025 in Qatar

On April 22 and 23, the Traditional Building Cultures Foundation took part in the Earthna Summit 2025, a prominent international gathering held at the Bin Jelmood House in Msheireb (Doha).

The event brought together experts, academics, and professionals from around the world to discuss the preservation, promotion, and teaching of traditional and sustainable architecture. Over the course of two intensive days participants shared experiences and perspectives on the current and future challenges which building cultures face in a global context marked by environmental urgency and the need for culturally rooted solutions.

The Foundation was invited to take part in the panel discussion titled Vocational Training and Educational Programs”, focused on professional training and educational initiatives. During this session we shared the stage with internationally renowned figures such as Dr. Marwa Al-Sabouni, Dr. Akel Ismail Kahera, and Prof. Lucien Steil.

The conversation focused on the essential role of transmitting traditional knowledge and craftsmanship in building a more sustainable urban future, one that remains connected to the cultural roots of each territory. The discussion highlighted the importance of educational programs as tools for community empowerment and for preserving the intangible heritage linked to architecture.

The Traditional Building Cultures Foundation would like to thank INTBAU Qatar, Caravane Earth Foundation, Earthna, the Qatar Foundation, and all attendees for the opportunity to take part in this event, which has strengthened our commitment to education, preservation, and innovation that respects traditional building practices.
