International Conference on 20th-Century Classical Architecture

It is in this context that an International Seminar is being organized, aimed at creating connections among leading experts in this field and broadening the dissemination of these architectural movements.

Conference on Traditional Architectural Crafts in Spain: Safeguarding Actions, Experiences and Future Perspectives

These sessions aimed to showcase the professional practice of traditional crafts associated with architecture, as well as to highlight various safeguarding initiatives developed in recent years in Spain by groups and organisations working in the field of traditional architecture. They also sought to bring this heritage closer to the public through its own practitioners, giving a voice to the master craftspeople and professionals who keep alive the knowledge, techniques and skills associated with these traditional crafts.

Ultimately, the sessions aimed to provide an overview of the current state of the crafts associated with traditional architecture and their future prospects, with particular attention to experiences in the transmission of traditional knowledge and techniques. In this regard, the main challenges related to the management, training, promotion and raising of awareness of this heritage were addressed, together with the strategies needed to ensure its continuity and safeguarding.
