The Traditional Building Cultures Foundation has signed collaboration agreements with the Fundación Gondra Barandiarán and the Fundación Fuentes Dutor to launch a grants programme focused on practical training in traditional building trades.
These grants will enable young apprentices to spend several months working in the workshops of master traditional builders, with the aim of supporting the direct transmission of knowledge and helping to ensure the continuity of these crafts.

Each grant will cover both the apprentice’s remuneration and that of the master tutor, as well as the documentation and dissemination of the training process. The Traditional Building Cultures Foundation will take responsibility for the design, coordination, and pedagogical supervision of the programme, while the partner foundations will provide the necessary funding.
The call for grants will be published in the coming days and will be open to candidates with a clear professional vocation for these trades.
This initiative reinforces the commitment of the three participating organisations to the preservation and continuity of traditional building trades, as well as to the intergenerational transmission of the knowledge associated with them.
