1. Update and expansion of the Network of Traditional Building Crafts Masters
The Spanish Network of Traditional Buiding Crafts Masters is an online directory created to promote and disseminate the traditional building trades. This initiative provides visibility -and job opportunities- to the masters, as well as generating a source of pedagogical information on the different crafts, techniques and materials that shape the identity of each region.
We are looking for a person to collaborate in the updating and expansion of the Spanish Network and in the ongoing development of the Portuguese Network, with particular focus on identifying new masters of traditional building for inclusion in the directory in both Spain and Portugal.
For this reason, proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese will be valued, as well as prior knowledge of traditional trades and traditional architecture and building, enabling an informed assessment of the suitability of potential masters to be included in the directory. The collaboration may involve a single person working across both networks or two distinct profiles, one for each country.
Applicants must reside in Spain or Portugal, as the tasks involved will include numerous calls to gather information and assess potential candidates.
2. Digitisation of an architectural practice archive
We are looking for a documentalist with training and experience in digitisation, cataloguing, and archive management. The objective is the organisation, classification, and digitisation of the professional archive of a distinguished architect. The work will include the review of graphic and written documentation—primarily plans, drawings, and photographs—as well as the definition of basic criteria for digitisation and for the organisation and preservation of the resulting digital archive.
Preference will be given to candidates residing in Seville or with availability to travel to or reside in the city during the working period, as the archive will need to be handled primarily on site. For this purpose, the Foundation will acquire the digitisation equipment considered most appropriate for the materials to be processed.
3. Arabic–Spanish translation and interpretation
We are looking for an interpreter and translator working from Spanish to Arabic and from Arabic to Spanish to collaborate in a stone construction training programme that will take place in Saudi Arabia during the second half of 2026. The programme will have an approximate duration of six months, and the role will require residence in Saudi Arabia for the duration of the programme. The selected candidate will provide linguistic support to the Spanish teaching team and to Saudi participants and collaborators, facilitating communication during both theoretical and practical training sessions. The role will also involve collaboration with the Foundation’s team in translating teaching materials, programmes, and final reports into Arabic.
Previous experience in educational, technical, or construction-related contexts will be valued, as well as familiarity with specialised terminology. Availability to work in an international context and on long-term programmes will also be taken into consideration.
