Thomas Mink has been selected by the Traditional Building Cultures Foundation and INTBAU Spain as the master craftsperson of the month for February 2024.
Thomas Mink is a master blacksmith from Daganzo, in Madrid, who masters a large number of traditional forging techniques: sharpening, laminating, upset forging, chipping, punching, etc. He also masters several traditional joining techniques, such as forge welding.

Thomas has also made all kinds of iron fittings for gates: nails, door knockers, grilles, hinges, fasteners, locks, keyholes, and door handles. He also carries out archaeometallurgical experiments by building direct reduction furnaces and extracting iron from different minerals.
