SEI· has been selected by the Traditional Building Cultures Foundation and INTBAU Spain as master craftsperson of the month for January 2026.
Norberto and Juan Francisco Ortega, founders of SEI3, have been producing wrought-iron lamps, lanterns, and wall lights since 1980, drawing both on Andalusian tradition and on distinctive, original designs. They create pieces for interior and exterior use, as well as for carriages and public lighting.
Their lanterns and lamps have become part of Granada’s urban image and are integrated into some of its most emblematic public spaces. Their work can also be found in many locations across Spain and in international contexts. They work with glass and a range of metals using diverse techniques, including iron, tinplate, zinc, copper, and lead.
