Hijos de F. Potenciano has been selected by the Traditional Building Cultures Foundation and INTBAU Spain as the master craftsperon of the month for July 2024.
Hijos de F. Potenciano is an artisanal workshop where they reproduce, restore, and design lamps, lanterns, and leaded stained glass windows, as well as other pieces for both exterior and interior lighting and decoration.
To this end, they use glass of different textures and colors as well as various metals: tinplate, zinc, copper, lead, and tin. The process starts with drawing the motifs onto the metal sheets, followed by the techniques of embossing and chiseling to add volume and cut out shapes. For this purpose, they use cutters, burins, scissors, hammers, and chisels, among other hand tools.
