Fibras Morote S.L. has been selected by the Traditional Building Cultures Foundation and INTBAU Spain as the master craftsperon of the month for October 2024.
Founded in 1965 by Antonio Morote Argudo, this is a firm dedicated to the manufacture of sisal and esparto fibre products for construction.
The manufactured products are primarily used in the field of construction, as well as in the creation of decorative elements. Among them are sisal, processed white plant fibre of African origin with great length and high strength; a mixture of esparto and sisal, used in plasterboard; fermented and crushed esparto, used in both agriculture and artisanal manufacturing; and sisal rope blended with wool, mainly used in agriculture.
