Lectures from the “Modern Classicism” conference now published

The videos of all the lectures delivered at the 1st International Conference on 20th-Century Classical Architecture, held at the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Madrid from February 19 to 21, 2026, are now available.

The conference brought together national and international experts to address the role of the classical language in 20th-century architecture, a field that remains insufficiently studied. Through the various contributions, both the continuities of classicism up to the Second World War and its later reinterpretations were examined.

The recordings now provide access to all the lectures and papers presented. The seminar proceedings are also planned for publication, bringing together the main contributions developed during the event. The proceedings can be reserved through the same link.

The conference has been organized by the Traditional Building Cultures Foundation and the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM-UPM), with the support of the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, the Master’s Program in Real Estate Management (MDI-UPM), the Department of Architectural Composition (DCA-UPM), and the Interior Design Degree at UPM, with the collaboration of INTBAU Spain.
