Driehaus Architecture Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This Thursday, June 12, the award <strong>ceremony for the 2025 Awards for the Building Arts and the Richard H. Driehaus Architecture Competition<\/strong> took place. These prizes recognize, respectively, the leading master artisans in the building crafts in Spain and the teams of architects awarded for their design proposals for each of the three municipalities selected in the competition.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Richard H. Driehaus Architecture Competition is an international competition aimed at promoting an approach to architecture and urbanism that preserves, updates, and continues the forms, materials, and character of each place. It seeks to contribute to the creation of more beautiful, coherent, sustainable, and socially inclusive urban environments.<\/p>\n\n<p>In this edition, the three selected sites were: <strong>Baltan\u00e1s<\/strong> (Palencia), <strong>Irurita<\/strong> (Bazt\u00e1n Valley, Navarre), and <strong>La Fresneda<\/strong> (Teruel). Architects of various nationalities submitted architectural and urban design proposals for these locations. <\/p>\n\n<p>The jury awarded the first prize, endowed with \u20ac12,000, to the proposal <em>Identidad Estereot\u00f3mica,<\/em> submitted for <strong>Baltan\u00e1s<\/strong> by <strong>Carlos Vallecillos Moya<\/strong>, <strong>Javier Navarro Mateos, and Guillermo Soria Alonso<\/strong>. Two honourable mentions, each with an award of \u20ac2,000, were also granted. These went to the projects <em>Al Cotarro<\/em>, by <strong>Ram\u00f3n Andrada Gonz\u00e1lez-Parrado and Alfonso Zavala Cendra<\/strong>, and <em>Los Corros del Cerrato<\/em>, by the Franco-Spanish studio Patio b, formed by <strong>Blanca Aguilar<\/strong> and <strong>Beno\u00eet Souli<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"723\" src=\"https:\/\/culturasconstructivas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/PremioBaltanas_Lamina1-1-1024x723.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-19613\" srcset=\"https:\/\/culturasconstructivas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/PremioBaltanas_Lamina1-1-1024x723.webp 1024w, https:\/\/culturasconstructivas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/PremioBaltanas_Lamina1-1-300x212.webp 300w, https:\/\/culturasconstructivas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/PremioBaltanas_Lamina1-1-768x542.webp 768w, https:\/\/culturasconstructivas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/PremioBaltanas_Lamina1-1-1536x1085.webp 1536w, https:\/\/culturasconstructivas.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/PremioBaltanas_Lamina1-1.webp 1654w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p>In the case of <strong>Irurita<\/strong>, the first prize (\u20ac12,000) was awarded to the proposal <em>Ni Arrai!<\/em>, developed by the team of <strong>Javier Man\u00e9n<\/strong>, <strong>Enric Mas<\/strong>, and <strong>Tom\u00e1s Mas\u00f3<\/strong>.
